Health disclaimer
Please read carefully before training with GrekFit programs.
1. What GrekFit is — and is not
GrekFit is a training and self-tracking app: workout programs, set logging, nutrition, Apple Health and Apple Watch data. It is for informational and educational purposes.
The App is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, prevent, monitor, treat or rehabilitate any disease. We are coach Roman Hrekul and a technical team — not doctors, registered dietitians or physiotherapists — and we do not give medical advice.
2. Talk to a doctor before you start
Before starting any training program or changing your diet, consult a doctor, especially if you have any of the following:
- heart and blood vessels: high or low blood pressure, coronary heart disease, arrhythmia, past heart attack or stroke, heart defects, thrombosis;
- endocrine: diabetes, thyroid disease, metabolic or hormonal disorders;
- musculoskeletal: spinal injuries or disc herniation, arthritis, arthrosis, fractures or joint surgery, chronic pain;
- other: pregnancy or breastfeeding, eating disorders (including past ones), kidney, liver or gastrointestinal disease, cancer, medication affecting blood pressure, heart rhythm or metabolism, recent surgery, age over 65.
The App is intended for people aged 18 and over.
3. Apple Health and Apple Watch data
Steps, sleep, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), active energy and other metrics come from Apple Health and Apple Watch. Their accuracy depends on your devices and sensors, not on us.
- “Training readiness” is guidance for choosing today’s load — not a diagnosis or an assessment of your health.
- Heart rate and heart rate zones on the watch are approximate and based on general formulas.
- The App does not detect arrhythmia, does not warn about dangerous heart conditions and does not replace medical devices.
4. Nutrition, calories and macros
Calorie and macro targets are calculated with a general formula (Mifflin–St Jeor) and average activity multipliers. They do not account for your individual metabolism, hormonal status or medical conditions — they are guidance, not a medical prescription.
Food calorie values are approximate. AI-based food estimates from photos or voice (when the feature becomes available) are approximate and may be wrong. For a personal nutrition plan, see a registered dietitian or doctor.
5. When to stop exercising immediately
Stop exercising and seek medical help if you experience:
- chest pain, pressure or tightness;
- severe shortness of breath that does not ease with rest;
- dizziness, nausea, weakness, blurred vision or fainting;
- sudden severe headache, irregular heartbeat, numbness in limbs;
- sharp pain in joints, muscles or back.
In an emergency call 112 (or your local emergency number).
6. Your responsibility
You choose your own training load and exercise at your own risk. You are responsible for your health, consulting a doctor in time, correct technique, warming up, safety in the gym or at home, and the accuracy of the data you enter in the App.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the sole proprietor Roman Hrekul is not liable for injuries, deterioration of health or other consequences of training or changing your diet without consulting a doctor, or for inaccuracies in device data or food estimates. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot be limited by law. See also the Terms of Use.
